🌇 The Night Before
☐ Talk about Picture Day with your kiddo and set out clothes ahead of time.
☐ The photographers will encourage them to make a silly face as well so let them know :)
☐ Kiddos are welcome to bring a small prop that makes them smile!
(Think small stuffed animal or something that shows their personality — please avoid large or distracting items.)
☐ Make sure the outfit is clean, pressed, and fits comfortably
☐ Choose solid colors or small patterns (avoid big logos, text, or cartoon prints)
☐ Check for clean shoes and socks that match
☐ Prepare a backup top in case of spills
☐ If your child wears glasses — clean lenses and adjust fit
☐ Pack a comb or brush for quick touch-ups
☐ Encourage a good night’s sleep (tired faces show in photos!)
🌅 The Morning Of
☐ Wash face and hands; check for food, toothpaste, or smudges
☐ Comb hair neatly; keep styles simple and away from the face
☐ Wipe noses and apply lip balm for a healthy look
☐ Avoid glitter, heavy makeup, or wet hair products that may reflect light
☐ Eat breakfast — full bellies mean happy smiles
☐ Dress your child in their photo outfit (unless told to change at school)
☐ Remove outer layers like hoodies or jackets if they aren’t part of the outfit
☐ Double-check that collars, buttons, and sleeves are straight
📖 At School
☐ Remind your child to listen to the photographer’s directions
☐ Encourage a natural, relaxed smile (no forced “cheese!” faces)
☐ Let them know it’s okay to feel shy — we’ll help them feel comfortable
☐ Teachers will guide students to the photo area
☐ If your child has special needs or sensitivities, please inform the teacher in advance so we can give extra care and time
📄 After Picture Day
☐ Watch for an email or flyer with your child’s private photo gallery link - Scan the QR code and sign up for notifications.
☐ Once the pictures are live, view all photos, choose your favorites, and order prints, downloads, or gifts online
☐ Digital downloads are emailed shortly after checkout; printed products arrive soon after
☐ Missed Picture Day? Ask your school about the makeup photo date
